This has been in discussion for some time, but we have enough raiders/members who are able and geared well enough to raid with Quality, but due to time restrictions, (Can't raid on Tues/Thurs) or space restraints, (ten man is only ten people after all, and currently, we have about twelve or thirteen signed up each week) are unable to consistently raid with us in ICC.

I will be joining the Friday Night 25 man ICC for the Spring and Summer and giving up my Tues/Thur raid spot, so that's one spot. Further, this thread is here so that we can begin discussions on raid nights for a second ten man. I have already talked to about six Quality members and have gotten different degrees of committments from each. I'm opening this on up to see what the interest is, and what the best times for those interested are.

Please post your name, availability, etc. etc.

Note- If you are on Qualities Tues/Thur night ICC invite list, but have been missing more than going, or end up being the eleventh guy consistently, please post here as well. The regulars for Tue/Thur night ICC need not post.

Gullywasher, best nights are currently Mon, Wed. Will likely raid just one of those two nights (am sticking to agreements with Family to only raid two nights a week). Have killed thru 6th boss in ten man, know fights, willing to help lead.

I fully support this.

Consider this a data-call. We are interested in identifying those people who are interested in doing this. Once we have this information we can figure out the best night, as well as filling in any missing spots.

One of the people that I was specifically thinking of crafting the new nights for is unable to raid on Mondays. This is my fault for not reading my notes correctly.

I am going to try a one night only raid (similar to what Friday Night Fights does now). The one night will be Wed. and we will try for 3.0-3.5 hrs of raiding. If we can eventually get through the first five-six bosses, we will look at adding another night. The advantage of this is obvious- 3 hrs versus 6, on 1 night, versus 2. Hopefully, we can get some momentum going, and see where this takes us.

This Wed. night will be our 2nd attempt. I don't think many are reading this, but will try to funnel eyes in this direction.

Again, priority is for those not yet raiding, then for alts. Would love to have alts join this raid as they are able, at least until we can get ten consistent raiders. Hopefully, this will also fill a void left by the now defunct TOC on Wednesday nights.

TL;DR

Second Man ICC is now a One night raid, Wednesdays, 8pm-11pm Server time. See Gully.

In my experience, one-night raids are better for 10-mans anyway. Fewer schedule conflicts. You can always extend ID or extend the raid hours in the future if your group decides you need more time.

If anyone is still reading this thread looking for updates- Officers are currently reassessing where we are and there will be more info coming shortly!

The bottom line is that second man ICC is still a priority and we are actively trying to get this raid running.

I already let Gully know. In all probability we will be looking to get this raid off the ground on or around 21 Apr.

The main reason for the delay is to allow a few people to get geared up to do this (in particular me -- I intend to slide Golgarax to the new raid so there is one well-geared, experience tank in the group. But to do this I need to get Golgaranth geared to go into ICC so he can join the Tuesday / Thursday raid).

What Gully and I are looking for, gear-score wise, is (and yes, I know gear-score is a really gross measure of preparedness but at least it gives a target number to shoot for):

Tanks -- around a 4900 gearscore (or a wow-heroes gearscore of: 2700)
Healers -- around a 4800 gearscore (or a wow-heroes gearscore of: 2650)
DPS -- around a 4500 gearscore (or a wow-heroes gearscore of: 2600)

Again, these are not hard and fast numbers, but more of a guild-lines of where I would like to see people. These numbers should be fairly easily to obtain, and I'll admit are probably a bit on the high side for ICC-10, but if everyone strives to get to these levels the raid will go a lot smoother in the beginning.

To use you, Wickdr, as an example. your wow-heroes gearscore is around 2579 which is in the middle of the yellow of ICC-10 -- meaning that ICC is a 'medium' difficult instance (and where you should be raiding). That said, you should be able to easily do, or doing everyday:

(1) upgrade the three 'blue' quality gems to 'epic' quality
(2) consider replacing the T8 legs with T9 (unless there is reason to keep the T8 ... not really current on druid resto gear)
(3) upgrade the shoulder enchant .... yea I know grinding out Hodir rep sucks...but they have increased the rep from dailies as well as turn-ins. You also can get a "Commendation of Hodir" for one emblem of triumph that gives 350 (?) rep.
(4) start running the daily random dungeon -- you will need a lot (in the neighbourhood of 550) of emblems of frost.

Note -- I'm not picking on Wickdr here...just using him as an example of what everyone who is interested in this raid can be doing over the next 12 days to help get ready.

Note -- upgrading the gems and enchants will probably pusk Wickdr to a wow-heroes gear score of 2600.
