some of us have been trying to get together groups for raids that we havent done, or havent completed. some of us have upgrades (*hangs head in shame) in places like naxx 10 man. we have tried, but people have been resistant. i know, personally, i have sat in LFG for hours trying, and it never works out. so, if anyone has the heart to do so, on a week night, or a sat night, i would like to try to get a group to go to some places to help those of us who 1) are a little behind and 2) would like the achievements.

ps i would need someone to lead, since i have no clue how it all goes....

Not a tank, nor a healer, but if i'm on and soloing stuff, let me know you're going and I'll help if I'm needed and can stay on, Also don't mind being replaced if someone else logged on who could use the trip but there were no empty spots at the time.

Corahursey has been running the 10 man Naxx with the group that is going for achievements so she's usually tied to a Naxx instance, but quite possibly could be available for other groups (I tend to do the daily heroic and sometimes ToC with Golg after he gets home from work - before and after that I'm usually around). However Coraellian rarely is tied to anything since I usually just hop on her for mining or smithing...although she's not particularly well-geared at the moment. She's duel-specced holy/prot (although I will be quick to point out that I have little experience tanking). I've healed 5-man runs and did a little in Naxx as well.

Just wondering...have you all put together 'wish lists' for upgrades? Some of the badge loot isn't bad and an evening of running heroics can amount to a fair number of badges (also the short runs are often easier to fit in).

Depending on the night I might be available for some Naxx action. Shoot me an invite. My schedule is very busy right now, but I am game.

I have an 80 druid named Epok! He needs gear, and my hunter is a couple quests from hitting 80. Then of course, there is Kraj for tough spots in there.

A few things should be apparent from this list,

1. Pauldrons of Concealed Loathing or Shoulderpads of the Infamous Knave are available from running Trial of the Champion (heroic). These shoulders are ranked 13 and 16, respectively, for hunters and Pauldrons of Concealed Loathing are ranked higher then anything out of Naxxramus 10 or 25
2. Windrunner's Spaulders of Conquest (ranked 11th) is available for 30 Emblems of Triumph -- that is 15 days of doing the daily heroic. This is the T9-iLevel 232 piece. Again, this is better than anything that drops out of the first Tier of raids (naxx, eoe or os)
3. Duskstalker Pauldrons is the third best shoulder in the game for hunters, and is available for purchase with Emblems of Triumph, 45 in this case which is 23 days of doing the daily heroic. Notice, that this item is only beaten by items that come of heroic mode Trial of the Crusader.

If I were you, and looking to upgrade the shoulder-slot item, I would be running heroic Trial of the Champion every day (giving me 7 shots at an upgrade per week, versus the one-shot at an upgrade from Naxx-25 or Naxx-10).

Something else to note is that there is only one upgrade that drops out of 10-man Naxx (Spaulders of Resumed Battle), so for the amout of effort involved in getting a group together, the about of time it takes to run Naxx-10 (it still takes 3 hours or so to do a full clear of Naxx) and the chance that the item might drop in my opinion it is not worth the time to try and farm it up (now if there where 5 or 6 potential upgrades then it would be a different story).

Also, the items I can get from EoT are "sure things" -- we get 2 EoT per daily heroic, and then go to a vendor and buy stuff -- no relying on a RNG monster to just happen to select the item that we want from a loot table.

Finally, if you desperate to upgrade a slot (and in your case the shoulders have to go ), don't overlook the stuff you can get with badges or rep. In fact, any of the following shoulders would be an upgrade from what you currently are wearing

Now, I can not say if the above pattern will hold true for every slot in the game. But this is why we stress having upgrade lists so you know where you should be focusing your attention to get upgrades.

This is the type of list that I think everyone should have ... we need to know where the upgrades are and attempt to maximize our time.

I would like to point out that it probably didn't take Golg all day to make that list, and he's not a hunter. I don't understand why most of the people in our raid don't have upgrade lists. I've kept mind up to date since BC Heroics, so even back then I always knew I was in the right place for my upgrades.

actually, i DO have an upgrade list. part of the reason why i want to do naxx is 1) two upgrades are possible: Pauldrons of the Abandoned and Shoulder Pads of Secret Arts and 2) it would be nice to see the whole instance and get the achievements associated with it. now, does this mean i am going to run just this? no. i am working on farming for my belt (damn artic furs that dropped so easily dont want to drop at all for me *grumbles*), trying to run heroics, do my dailies, etc. i know everyone else has to do it, but i'm not everyone else. *shrugs* i do what i can with the time i have. most of it, lately has been trying to equal out daily heroics, some PVP to attempt to get upgrades that would be better than what i have, and farming, farming, farming... have i mentioned farming? lol btw, if anyone knows a good spot where artic furs drop with a higher drop rate, PLEASE let me know. that's all i need for my belt!

Have you tried Storm Peaks' Mammoth Production Facility (aka west of Dun Niffelheim?)

Epok has some Arctic Furs, how many do you require? I can mail them off to you tonight.

i have tried the mammoth area, to no avail *mutters* i need six of them, and i am willing to pay for them, or as i get them, replace them. i am still working on farming tonight before raid. damn meeting will shorten the time i can farm, but it's gonna happen, by god! lol

you can find what mobs drop a particular type of leather / skin from wowhead. I did a search for Arctic Fur/

Best drop...err...skin rates seem to be from mobs inside instances, and that is only 4%. The first non-instanced critter is Sand Turtle with an outstanding drop rate of 1.8%. Although I bet that these are limited supply mobs.

happy hunting, and not to discourage you...if you need 6 furs you probably are going to be looking at having to kill upwards of 700 or so.

I will get these 6 furs to you tonight. You can send coin or replacement furs at your leisure.

becouse of keymo there are good nites and bad but i will open to go anywhere at the the drop of a hat. i have 3 other 80s a tank/pally, a furry warrior, and a tank/shammy and would be open to the idea of respecking any or all of them for the good of the guild . as will as learning to play them so they are a help to us. and will take them any where to help and let cute sleep.
